Back in the Movies
My CV is pretty scatty, it covers many things and I profess to be a master of none of them. Through my life I've spent time doing things I enjoy, but found it hard to find a niche to be able to continue in that profession.
OK, my promise to myself has been to finish the book, get published, hit the big-time, have the book optioned for a film, to be asked to write the script for said film and the rest would of course be history. Alas, life takes its turns and one never seems to be at the place one thought one would... so here I am, waiting in vain for a publisher to call whilst not being able to support myself. So - what to do?
I've had an offer to assist on a film to take place in the next few months in Scotland. This came as a surprise, a very welcome one. It would mean that I would be able to do something that I enjoy and it would also give me valuable experience in the field to 'hopefully' have a profession again.
Although all the details are not yet confirmed, I should hopefully hear something in the coming weeks. Between now and then, there is also the possibility of some work on various commercials, although I'd be looking at those as experience rather than paid work. But - fingers in the crossed formation are the order of the day...
I'll keep the site updated with any news as it happens...
