Far East Jaunt 2009 – Itinerary

As the trip was set up with the short notice, the itinerary isn't really that well thought out - as you can see! However, the Hong Kong side of things has been in the back of my mind for some time and I had a list of things that I really wanted to do and see whilst I was there. Whether or not we do these things in this order is yet to be discovered, as I've written this itinerary without the input of my fellow travellers. However, knowing that one of them would by so laid back about it all that he'd lay down all trip if he could (!) I don't think me arranging the itinerary is going to be a major issue.
Upon arrival in Manila, Janne will be picking up at the airport and taking to Mary Anne's Mum's apartment where our base of operations will be during our stay in the Philippines. I will let the relevant people know of the address and contact numbers privately. Janne will also be getting a local sim card, which I may do too, but just the one may be enough - I will advise that number too if/when necessary.
Of course, posts can be left on the site or I can be contacted by email, although I can't be positive of local internet access at the moment. Once in Hong Kong it'll be easier as the hotel offers free internet - whether that comes with the kit to do so is another thing!!

Panic? Me? Naahhh…

Laying in bed with a migraine may not be the best time for exercising the grey matter but whilst laying in my pit today, desperately trying not to move, I take to thinking about ... things. The main thing that strikes me is that neither Janne or myself have yet to secure a flight from Honkers to Manila...

I call Janne to see what the latest on the situation is and he tells me that Cebu Pacific, the airline that we're attempting to use, won't accept his credit card. This gives me cause for panic as in the last 2 days the prices have gone up HKD100.00 per sector. Not that much really but enough to start the panic process off.
I hit the Cebu Pacific website myself to see if I can do anything - and I can't. So it seems that the site is hesitant to accept foreign credit cards.
Janne has emailed the airline but has yet to receive a reply, so I check other airlines that fly the same route and ... woah ... the price is a little different from what Cebu Pacific are offering. Fingers crossed that they come back to the Janos with favourable results...

Honkers if you’re Horny!

Well, it's finally done, my flights to South East Asia have been booked! ＼（＾ ＾）／

I'll be leaving London on the 10th of July and flying via Paris with Air France to Hong Kong. Once there I will transit to a Filipino Airline to get to Manila. I should be in the Philippines for about 2 and a bit weeks then it's back to Honkers for a week.

The only thing booked so far are the long-haul flights. Stay tuned for more ...
