Old / The Sound of Winter

Another birthday ticked off and another bucket list item too. In fact I could make that two items off the bucket list because in the last few days I finally got to see two of my favourite artistes live: Adam Ant on Sunday and Bush last night.
Both events were top drawer, up there with the best I've been to. The fact that they were both at smaller venues probably helped, The Troxy and The Garage respectively.

Adam Ant's performance was just brilliant. I was totally blown away by the length of the set and the inclusion of loads of back catalog songs, especially those from the 'Dirk' era, and the Ant Man was on top form too.
He kicked the whole thing off with Plastic Surgery which sent the crowd mental and when Whip In My Valise came on - well, I was in my element....
All the classics were played and I'll be honest here and say I was singing and dancing along with the rest of the crowd when he played Puss In Boots... ahem!

And so to Bush... And frontman Gavin Rossdale also put on an amazing show, as did the rest of the band of course. High points of the night have to be getting a (sweaty) hug, catching the plectrum he threw to me and rubbing shoulders with certain high profile people that happened to be in the audience.
New material from The Sea Of Memories sounded fantastic but show stopping performances of Greedy Fly and Glycerine capped off an absolutely awesome night.

In honour of my Birthday, I've chosen a theme song ... Quite fitting I think...
